As Christians, it is important for us to do business with Companies that can best support our Christian values. Just as you wouldn't give your money to a drunkard to continue the drunkard habit, so you shouldn't give money to a Company that does not support Christian values. And especially one should avoid business with a Company whose actions are against or contrary to traditional Christian values and those of the Christian Faith.

In today's world, this practice can be hard to carry out. Yet, it is important, now more than ever, that we pay close attention from whom we buy our products and services. Still there may come a point in time where we may have to decide to go without a product or service. Do you really think that Jesus would be okay with giving money to and supporting a Company or Organization that promotes actions against the Christian faith and its values?

"Well, it's not that big of a deal," is often a phrase heard to justify one's actions of buying a product or service from an anti-Christian Company. Another excuse is, "It's only a few dollars, what's it going to hurt?"

As Christians we have grown lax and careless in our business dealings. I have, too. But we need to become more conscious of to whom we are giving our money.

Christ is gracious enough to provide us with employment or a means of income, so we need to be good stewards of the money he has given us by ensuring it does not fall into the hands of Companies with anti-Christian values or promoting anti-Christian propaganda.

As previously stated, this practice can be hard to carry out with the complexity of modern living; however, we must still put in the effort to be mindful of where we buy our products and services. Here we should remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 18:6, "But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea."

Be aware that we can cause someone to sin or to fall away from the faith if we give our money to a Company that then uses that money to deliver goods or services that does such a thing. The point at which you realize that a Company has contrary values is the point at which you are accountable and guilty if you still make a purchase.

Let us not be surprised when a Company that we have given money to takes an anti-Christian action, especially if we already know such a Company sells products or services that are contrary to traditional Christian beliefs. At this point Christians have helped to create the giant that now turns on them and attempts to devour them.

In this day and time I think it's critical that as Christians and self-proclaimed followers of God and of His Christ, that we put forth more of an effort to avoid buying goods and services from Companies who do not support Christian values, and likewise to let our voice be heard about anti-Christian actions by Companies who provide goods or services that are needed in modern society but alternatives are not available, such as utility power or transportation.

Let us pray and ask our Creator what related changes we need to make in our lives with this regard. It may be a difficult and challenging action to take, yet it is better in the long run that we take such actions to our benefit and to the benefit of others.
